Code of Conduct
While attending Olivet Baptist Church or church-sponsored activities, participants are expected to follow these basic rules, procedures, and expectations.
- Do not attend our program if you are experiencing fever, coughing, sneezing, runny nose and eyes, vomiting, diarrhea, inflamed mouth and throat, eye infections or rashes.
- All program participants come to our program independently and are required to sign in and stay until the program is over unless prearranged by a parent.
- Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself and never intentionally harm another individual, their personal property, or the church premises.
- Use appropriate language and behaviour at all times while maintaining friendly and courteous behaviour.
- Be polite and respectful to everyone, including peers, leaders, administrators, support staff, parents, and visitors.
- Follow youth leader instructions at all times.
- Wear attire that appropriately covers and protects you during activities.
- Do not become a distraction for others.
- Cell phone use is not permitted without the prior consent of a youth leader.
- Do not take any photos or upload content to social media accounts during our program hours.
- Do not be a bully. If you see someone being bullied, intervene by telling them to stop or immediately report it to church personnel.
- Do not attend our program or remain at our program with any detectable level of alcohol or controlled substance, intoxicant or illegal drug in their system. This includes the use of medically authorized (prescription) or over-the-counter drugs in a manner inconsistent with the directions for the medication. Do not engage in the unauthorized use of any alcohol or illegal drug on Olivet Baptist Church premises. Do not possess or attempt to distribute, sell, obtain, manufacture, transfer, share or receive any alcohol, controlled substance (drugs) or any other substances that impair or pose a hazard to the safety and welfare of the church staff, volunteers, visitors, attendees, or members of the community. Olivet Baptist Church prohibits the use of drug paraphernalia or possession of alcohol while on Olivet Baptist Church property or in church-sponsored activities. Violation of this rule will result in disciplinary action up to and including expulsion from our programs.
